Will these work on a 2002 diamondback topanga comp ?
answered by: canteau
It might as long as the Diamondback Topanga Comp has a standard threaded bottom bracket shell and a 3x9-speed drivetrain.

In the drop down box you can select from two colors, both in 170mm and 175mm in length. Thank you!
asked by: A Visitor
will this work to replace a shm bb-lpa27 73 x 110 mm on cdale f400 with 9 speed 11-34t ?
answered by: tplizga
It should be compatible as long as your frame accepts english threaded bottom brackets.
asked by: A Visitor
I'm looking for 170 mm. do you have that length?
answered by: mwirth
Certainly, just select 170mm from the drop down menu above. Thanks!
asked by: A Visitor
what is the pitch of the bottom bracket threads?
answered by: t.young
It's English threaded.
asked by: A Visitor
I have a 2002 Cannondale F400 would this be an appropriate replacement.
answered by: t.young
If that bike's BB shell is either 68 or 73mm wide, then you should be fine.
asked by: A Visitor
Are there any spacing issues when switching from a square taper to a Hollowtech?
answered by: canteau
There shouldn't be on most frames.
asked by: A Visitor

answered by: mlewis
Yes, this should work just fine for you bike! Thanks
asked by: A Visitor
What would be a compatible Front derailleur?
answered by: mlewis
Any mountain triple front derailleur would work with this, Shimano or SRAM. We recommend staying with the same brand as your shifters.
asked by: A Visitor
I have an Acera M391 9spd drivetrain. Would this work with my front derailer, chain, etc?
answered by: canteau
Yes it should work great!
asked by: A Visitor
Why would you NOT be able to run this crankset as a triple on a LHT?
answered by: mwirth
You can run this on a LHT with a triple as long as you are using a bar end shifter and a mountain style front derailleur.
asked by: A Visitor
Will this crank work w/a 7/8-speed chain/cassette? How well?
answered by: canteau
You can run the M590 cranks with a 7/8 speed chain but you may notice more chain noise and rub than with a true 7/8 speed crank because of the thicker chain and thinner chainrings.
asked by: A Visitor
Can this be built onto my surly lht with a rohloff hub 26" wheels?
answered by: cmcmann
Probably, but you couldn't run it as a triple.

Review of the Shimano Deore M590 9-Speed 22/32/44t Crankset with Bottom Bracket:
Purchased for a complete driveline replacement on my Trek 520. The stock 26/36/48t crankset was so tall that I only used the top ring for steep downhills. I spent so much time on the middle ring that the teeth were sharkfinned.

The 22/32/44t is perfect (for me) and the low end of the range coupled with a 11-34t cassette allows me to climb ridiculous grades, even when the bike is loaded with gear.

Offset spacers required a bit of experimentation to get the top ring lined up with the chain line without fiddling with front derailleur.

Summed up: Perfect if your touring bike's current gearing seems to high. Good for heavy loads and hilly rides.

Yes, I would recomend this to a friend.
