These tires are great for rough city roads or maintained trails. I'm not sure how they would handle rougher trails as they don't have agressive tread. I bought them mainly for use on city roads with potholes and rough dirt roads and they do great under alls the road contintions I have found so far. They do weight a lot so if your worried about the weight of you bike these probably arn't for you.

Amazing tires. Just make sure you use 29er specific tubes or you will get a lot of flats as the tires hold massive volume. Oh yeah, you will get a lot of stares - they're huge.
