agerweckI have been using Candy pedals for quite a while now and can honestly say that they are the best pedal I have used. They are very solid, even for a clyde like myself. They are very predictable and easy to use. Other pedal systems would release my feet at the worst times (climbing up a rocky hill), the Crank Bros Candy SLs have yet to disappoint me. I would highly recommend them. Plus they come in a ton of cool colors now!

smulderI've been using clipless pedals since they were created for the Mountain Bike back when I had Onza's and have been through a log of brands and models. I've used Shimano SPDs for both road and MTN and Crank Brothers Eggbeaters for MTN and Fixie. My take on the Shimano SPDs is that they were a little to unpredictable and did not seem to hold my cleat as solidly as the Candy SLs. I found the Eggbeaters to be to harsh on the shoe because of their lack of platform and they seemed to develop play at the cleat connection more than other pedals because of wearing down my shoe. The Candy SLs, however, are spot on and offer a great supportive platform for my shoes in a way that feels connected and solid. I really think they help my confidence and placement of the bike on the trail. I would only like them to not develop play as much, but that is easily solved for a very inexpensive price with the rebuild kits.

kdrchuckThese are my first clipless pedals and I like them. The large platform is useful for a newbie trying to get clipped in or wanting to get through a section unclipped. Be sure to consider the lugs on the shoes you are going to use with these. Large lugs with the platforms can make it a little tough to get clipped in. In a short time it has become pretty easy to get in and out.
