Listed weight for this rim is 565 grams.
asked by: A Visitor
can I use 12 gauge spokes on this wheel
answered by: t.young
I've not come across 12g spokes, they could potentially be too big but since we don't have that rim nor 12g spokes here at the moment, I unfortunately can't answer that.

Review of the Sun Ringle Sun Rhyno Lite 26" 36h Rim Silver:
These are great rims. They build up with no problem, they are easy for tire mounting and the price is low. For racers they might be to heavy but that's not my concern.

Summed up: Great rims and a great price.

Yes, I would recomend this to a friend.

Review of the Sun Ringle Sun Rhyno Lite 26" 36h Rim Silver:
I built up some essentially bullet-proof touring wheels with these rims. They hold up well to heat from breaking and high tire pressure. They're not light but they'll carry loaded panniers like a champion.

Summed up: Bullet-proof, rim suitable for world touring.

Yes, I would recomend this to a friend.

Review of the Sun Ringle Sun Rhyno Lite 26" 36h Rim Silver:
My son taco'd the rim on my 1989 Raleigh mtb by throwing the bike into a stop sign to escape a turn that was too hot.

This rim is a perfect replacement. I was able to reuse the hub and spokes. Building the wheel was easy - it was true out of the box. Outstanding price too.

The web and shipping experience worked exactly as you'd expect them to.

Thanks for helping me keep that old mtb going. I be back.

Summed up: Rim is true and easy to work with. A great value.

Yes, I would recomend this to a friend.

Review of the Sun Ringle Sun Rhyno Lite 26" 36h Rim Silver:
Instructions on how to build a wheel, i. e. how to place spokes into the new rim for us who never replaced a new rim to the old wheel, would be very nice. Ordering, and shipping were very professional Thank You BJ Monmroe

Review of the Sun Ringle Sun Rhyno Lite 26" 36h Rim Silver:
I'm a clydesdale that commutes 20 miles a day year round with gear. Weight of parts means pretty much nothing to me compared to getting stuck on the road with broken parts.

It usually it goes like this: I build up a Rhyno Lite wheel. I Ride it forever, off curbs, on trails, pulling the kids in the Burley trailer... A day after forever (and a couple shimano freehub replacements later) a spoke breaks on the rear drive side. Then another. Eventually after 4th spoke or so you know the wheel is toast. The rim is fine, but I've gotta rebuild so I don't keep getting the wobble wobble after hitting a pothole in the road. So I buy new spokes and realize that it isn't much more $ to just get a new rim... Mavic quit making D521s, so this is the only rim I buy. But Craig said Velocity rims are made in USA now... If only this rim came in an asymmetric drilled rear!

The only trouble I've had with these is that some tires don't like them. Usually little <2.0 tires.

Summed up: Cheap and last a long time. If you care how much they weigh look elsewhere.

Yes, I would recomend this to a friend.
