Put on my wife's bike for longer rides. She completed her first metric century with these bar ends and didn't complain once about hand numbness or soreness. She used to start complaining within 10 miles or so. She rode without gloves too. These bar ends add needed hand positions to flat bars for longer rides. Only problem was the end caps didn't fit in the bar they mounted to..but hardly a deal breaker. Just go pick some up from your LBS for a few bucks.
