The twist top is nice instead of the pull top. It hasn't leaked or popped open yet. Plus you can open it just part way. This is a nice feature because when riding, you can take a squirt without drowning yourself on accident.
The insulating feature doesn't work so well. I wouldn't buy this if that is your key focus.
Based on using this waterbottle AND a regular one on my road bike, this water bottle will keep an ice cube frozen for about one hour longer on an 80 degree day. (test is based on 3 equal sized cubes put into water, then go riding)
Well built water bottle with a fairly simplistic design and a good overall feel. The locking cap was something I did not notice before ordering but it was happily received when I got it in.
One of my bottles seems to tick and hiss once squeezed once. It seems that perhaps the seal that seals off the bottle may have a tiny little hole or defect to it that causes air to seep back in to the bottle ever so slowly after squeezing. No big deal.
The insulation does leave something to be desired. I live in a REALLY hot area (New Orleans, LA) and fill these bottles up to the top with ice, followed by as much water as I can squeeze in them around the ice. By about my 8 mile mark I am looking for my first drink, and my bottles will both be about half melted. By the 20 mile mark I have absolutely no ice left, but my water is still slightly cold. Not trying to knock the bottle here, perhaps all plastic insulated bottles are only SO good.
All in all, for the price these are great.
