questions about the

TruVativ Powerspline Bottom Bracket

asked by: A Visitor
Do you have this BB ??
Is for de Rosa frame?
Model # :BB-06-SPSL-108/68
00
answered by: canteau
We do carry a Powerspline bottom bracket for a 68mm shell with a 108mm spindle and is available in the drop-down size menu.

You will need to make sure that your crank needs a PowerSpline bottom bracket and not a square taper or ISIS splined bottom bracket.
asked by: A Visitor
Do you sell the proper tool to install spline bb?
answered by: canteau
Yes this bottom bracket is installed using the Park BBT-22 or BBT-32
asked by: A Visitor
Will this fit a BB30 bottom bracket shell?
answered by: canteau
You would need to use a PF30 or BB30 to English thread adaptor to use the TruVativ PowerSpline bottom bracket in a PF30 or BB30 frame.
asked by: A Visitor
Is it compatible with a 68x110 bottom bracket?
answered by: t.young
68 is the shell width and 110 is the spindle length. What you need to know is the type of interface the crank needs to work with the BB.
asked by: A Visitor
What length BB would you suggest for a 1x8 setup? 108, 113 or 118?
answered by: t.young
The crank you're using should have a manufacturer's recommended width.
asked by: A Visitor
Is it compatible with this crank set? Truvative X-Flow, Power Spline, alloy, capless bolts
answered by: mlewis
Yes, any Truvativ Powerspline crankset is compatible with this BB.
asked by: A Visitor
Is there a replacement for this BB that would be an upgrade? 113mm X 68mm powerspline?
answered by: canteau
Power spline is designed to be an entry level, low cost standard.

You will have to upgrade the entire crankset, which is going to make the entire bike lighter and shifter better.
asked by: jchung
Is this BB compatible with the Race Face ISIS crankset?
answered by: jrichard
No, ISIS and Powerspline are different interfaces. If you search our site for ISIS, you'll find compatible BB's.
asked by: A Visitor
Just curious if these are English threaded or if that's what the E means?
answered by: canteau
The 68mm and 73mm versions of the bottom bracket are English threaded, the 70mm versions are Italian threaded.

The E stands for E-Type, which is a type of front derailleur mount that attaches to the bottom bracket.
asked by: A Visitor
What length spindle should I get for a 68mm fixie setup with an S100 1.1 crank?
answered by: s.myers
The S100 is spec'd from SRAM as compatible with 113/118 spindle lengths, I'd probably go with the 113 unless concerned about the frame's chainstay being able to clear the 48 tooth chainring.
asked by: A Visitor
Is there anyway to know if I have the 108, 113 or 118mm without taking it off?
answered by: bhardy
Yes there is. Look up the manufacturer's specs of the crank you have. They will list the spindle length. You can also take calipers and measure from end to end on the Bottom Bracket Axle. Without the crank arms or bolts on the bike.
asked by: A Visitor
Is there anyway to know if I need the 68mm or the 68mmE/73mm without taking off?
answered by: smulder
You can take a ruler or caliper and measure across your bottom bracket shel on the bike that will either be 68mm or 73mm. You don't need the 'E' Version unless you have an E-Type front derailleur that mounts to the Bottom bracket.

Review of the TruVativ Powerspline Bottom Bracket:
Great affordable replacement. Very easy installation. Fast becoming a big fan of SRAM group. This is another item that was missing from UPS' botched delivery. Theo of Tree Fort Bikes to the rescue! Replacement received along with replacement Oury grips and Shimano chain.

Summed up: Highly recommended for OEM replacement. Affordable but not cheap (ie good quality)

Yes, I would recomend this to a friend.
