bhardyI bought these bars to try out on my Big Dummy. They are incredibly comfortable. The rise and the sweep eliminated all of the hand discomfort I had been feeling. There are multiple hand positions, but the most comfortable position is on the swept back portion. I have not tried them on any serious trails yet, but the bike handles very well on dirt roads and light hiking type trails. My only issue with these bars would be that they are a little tricky to set up depending on what brake lever/shifter combo you use. It's not too hard but it took me a little while to figure out where to position the levers and shifters for a natural feel.

FlyXwireI'm very pleased with my decision to buy this bar as a replacement for my mountain bike's straight bar. The multiple grip positions provide for more comfortable choices, including a semi-aero position. The most interesting asset this bar offers besides all the hand positions, is the fact that I can sprint and climb better now with my body's weight more over the center of the bottom bracket by gripping the swept-back bar ends. Having ridden straight and drop bars on my bikes for over 40 years now, I feel the swept-back grip position available with the H-Bar, allows for superior out-of-the saddle power generation (at least it has for me).

A GuestOne phrase sums it up.... "Sexy Time". Grip it and rip it. This thing has so many hand options I don't even know where to begin. The only pain is the finding the right grip/tape option. I ended up using Brooks tape all the way around.

A GuestI bought these bars for my Xtracycle. The original bars that came with the bike made it uncomfortable on long rides. I would have sore wrists and elbows. I've rode about 40 miles non-stop on a trip and found the bars to be very comfortable. I had to upgrade my brakes and shifters to shimano brifters. Adding an Ergon grip made it hard to use the gear shifters. I had to put it on the top section of the bar.

A GuestInitially, I wondered why I thought the h-bar was such a good idea. After several rides, I really began to enjoy the multiple hand positions. At 64, I have arthritis throughout my body. The H-bar is allowing me ride further and more comfortably. When I am tiring, I can put my hands on the wide handle and just cruise until the soreness leaves. The more I ride the better control I have. Great design!
