The shim is just about wide enough to fit underneath the clamp of a Thomson stem, so approximately 42.5mm.

Keep in mind if this shim is taller than your stem's clamp height you'll need to cut it down so it doesn't interfere with the top cap's pre-load.

Perfect if you want a thomson stem but have a 1 inch fork. Fits perfectly on my thomson stem.
