muscomeddocOriginally tried the whole Ergon thing with a set of large GP1s. Was having tremendous problems with Ulnar Nerve neuropathy. Bought a set of the smalls about 3 months ago, along with a pair of new Specialized full finger mitts - very rarely do I have any problems any more.

amazer98These grips are excellent for all flat bar bikes, though I imagine competitive mountain bikers would have their own preferences. Basically, you position the wide part of this grip so that it keeps your wrists from sagging when you grip the bar, preventing carpal tunnel-like stress on the nerves. These really are comfortable. Unless you have very large hands, the "small" grip should work fine... it's really not that small at all (in fact, it looks large!).

A GuestGot these for my husband's comfort bike. He says they make the "heels" of his hands feel much better. The grips weren't as long as his old grips, so he cut a tube from the old grips and slid it on first (to fill the gap) and then slip these grip in place. He is happy I bought them!!

A GuestAbsolutely love em. So much more comfortable than traditional round grips . Looks are a personal thing and they do look a little bulky but function is first in my book. Also i had some issues installing the plugs in my carbon bars(very tight !) . Perhaps because the ID is smaller than aluminum. The quality otherwise is typical German and thats a good thing. Highly recommend them for people with any wrist issues

allenlightGood product. Went on easily and has worked as advertised. Much more comfortable for longer rides.

A GuestMy favorite MTB grips. I don't see any problem with the install, either. These are very comfortable when you find the rotation that suits you best.

jchaplineI have no special issues with my wrists, but with a new bike I noticed that there was a lot of weight on my hands and I was losing circulation quickly. I do think these help. It makes sense that it would help to spread out the weight over a larger area. It does support your wrists. I feel I have a better grip, which seems to help transfer power when I'm climbing. Wasn't sure they would help on the swept-back bars I'm using (FSA Metropolis), but they do. I'm a 5'8" man, and my hands are not especially small. I bought the small size based on other reviews, and it's the right size for me.

rogertaffI've been riding for 12 years now and as i'm over 50 i started having some Ulnar nerve issues on long rides. Friends had told me about them and i blew them off because they looked odd. Well i'm a believer now. I've yet to try them on some really technical areas but overall cross country they work great. It's nice riding fairly long distances (20 miles) without having the outside of my hand go numb.

Chinner87I get a lot of hand numbness when riding with round grips while riding for long periods when I am riding roads or in general not changing position much. I got these for my Mukluk mostly for back roads touring/exercise. They help a lot, though they don't eliminate the numbness. I did find that I also like them a lot on trails though. Having more surface area, I felt a more confident grip on the bars. I like that they are adjustable and lock firmly into position.

A GuestWifes hands would always numb with the standard straight soft grips. Now she's good to go with no tingles! Takes a bit of effort to put on. I discovered that if you spray the insides and the bars with windex they slip right on. They were also a bit too long for her bar shifter set up. I carefully trimmed the ends with a utility knife and they're perfect. Get 'em!

A GuestI bought this grip for my teenage son. I already have them on my wife's and my bikes.
My son's bike is older and I had retrofitted the indexed shifter's to gripshift's. I bought the gripshift style but they were still 1/2" too long after I had shifted everything in as much as possible.
I got my handy tubing cutter out and cut off 1/2" and then they fit like all the others.
Well worth the effort!
