As the name suggests the Kuat NV will be the envy of all your friends. This rack hauls them all from the thinest road tires all the way up to big downhill tires and 29ers. This rack is the Swiss Army Knife of bicycle racks.
Need a little pre-race tune-up? Not a problem with the Trail Doc, the repair stand that's built into the rack. Don''t want your bikes to leave the car when you''re not the one removing them? They have that covered also with the integrated cable locks. Both trays have a lock of their own so there is always ample cable for your rides.
So, how''s putting it on the car? Easy with the three step Hitch cam system:
- Insert the Rack
- Turn knob by hand
- Hit the Road
The 2" Kuat NV allows for a 2 bike add-on to carry all the bikes in your group.
- Integrated cable lock
- Locking hitch pin
- Front tire hold down
- Comes with built in Trail Doc bike repair arm that allows for on-the-go maintenance
- Folds for storage
- Made from heat treated Aluminum

projc1020We are obsessed with our new Kuat NV bike rack. Here are my reasons:
1. Super easy to put on/off car
2. Locks onto the car
3. Can easily tighten the rack so there is absolutely no wobble when driving.
4. Bikes are super secure and stable when riding. 2 bikes on the rack and they don't touch. No banging pedals or gears.
5. The built in bike lock which locks the bikes to the rack.
6. The rack tilts so I can have access to my trunk.
7. The bike stand so you can work on your bike.
This rack is worth every penny. I would definitely pay the difference and get the best rack on the market.
Tree fort bikes had the bike shipped within a week of purchase. They were super easy to deal with. I will purchase from them in the future.

moabjonFrom the moment I looked at the box I knew this rack was going to be very good because the packaging is ingenious. Including watching the setup video on the Kuat website it took 20min to have the rack built and on the truck with bikes.
The quality of materials and engineering of the NV is superb. We have two full suspension MTBs and on the NV they are rock solid.
This rack is worth every penny and more.

A GuestThe cable lock could be longer and the cost is up there, but it outshines all other carriers!!!

A GuestThe higher price is justified buy the excellent quality. Took longer to put together than anticipated, it is hard to keep the parts supported so to keep the screw holes aligned. The bikes ride very solid and do not bounce around. The rack securing mechanism tightens the two inch insert very well. With the integrated lock and bike work stand the extra cost is justified.

RockroverExcellent product and excellent price through Tree Fort!
This rack is simply awesome. The fit and finish is second to none. I get compliments all the time!
Grand total of 5 seconds to load/unload my ride. Uber secure, and no frame hold-downs to mare the finish of the bike.
This is simply the best hitch mounted tray rack in the biz.

regreb49Built like a tank and weighs almost as much. Requires a bit of a balancing act to assemble but even with the weight only took 30 min. Sure could use a better security system. Make sure to bring your own much longer cable and lock, if you plan to leave your stuff for a while. Other than that you won't have to worry because your bikes are not going anywhere. P.S. Only took me 30 sec. per bike to load. That alone almost justifies the cost.

HenriKrakenI am using this on my 2012 Mazda 3 with a Hidden Hitch. It is amazing. The weight is a little high, but it fits perfectly with the Hidden Hitch. Access to the trunk is perfect even with bikes when you tilt the rack down.
The only big problem is that the license plate on my Mazda3 is blocked. But, the cops have not stopped me yet.

Moselle1962Truly the Cadillac, Mercedes and dare I say Ferrari of bike racks. I have always been reluctant to make the switch to receiver hits racks, but decided to go with this after buying a new Ford Explorer which was too wide for my roof rack. This is a beautiful rack, plenty of attention to detail. Well worth the extravagant price. It securely locks down the bikes and even has an adjustment so the rack does not wobble in the receiver. I just drove more than 600 miles with my Yeti ARC in the rack, could see it all the way in the rear view and it never moved. Huge plus having the repair stand, I find this very useful for prepping the bike. Rack is so well balanced it is very easy to tilt for access to the lift gate on my Explorer. There's also lots of room to stand between the bike and the bumper. My only complaint is it only holds two bikes, will be adding the two bike add on I'm sure. Also the back up sensors in my SUV don't play well with having a rack there but you can turn that off.
