I have this tire on the rear of my 29er. I have done about 5 races on and train on it all the time. What has surprised me is how well in handled in one very rainy / muddy race. Very little slipping on climbs in wet / muddy conditions. I use a Maxxis Ignitor in the front. This is a great race combination.

Great tire for dust covered hard pack. Relativly light weight. Great cornering tire. Just used them on a 51 mile (mostly) road event and the rolling resistance was pretty light. So it does work pretty good as a low resistance (road substitute) tire on a Mountain bike. Pretty great tire.

I use this tire on my Salsa Fargo and it is a great all round tire that has low rolling resistance and good traction on roads, gravel, and hard pack. Totally recommend this tire and for the price you can't go wrong.
