SRAM is out proving they walk the walk when it comes to trickling down features and tech from their higher end groups, and the X.5 2x10 drivetrain is the best proof of that. Just a few short years since being frontrunners in popularizing double cranks in the MTB world, they've integrated it into their full range of groupsets. It makes sense, really - we can''t imagine why something like a chainring configuration should ever be locked in the figurative tower of high-end componentry. Now the lower weight and tidied up front shifting to be had from a mountain double at an excellent price with the same GXP bottom bracket compatibility and X-Glide chainring technology of SRAM''s higher end groups. Actually, the X.5 ends up being half the cost of the most affordable double option from the other guys, and even includes the BB30 bearings to boot. Hard to argue with that.
