The Kenda Nevegal - also commonly known as the "do-everything" mountain tire. Rip through the downhill course, pound over rocks and roots on the trail, climb those rutted and sandy all-mountain trails, or even tear up the race course. The Kenda Nevegal can do it all. Widely spaced boxy knobs keep the rubber side down in nearly all situations. Rip through mud, dig into sand, and climb like a goat with the superb traction of the knobby tread.
The wide spaces clear mud, dirt, and sand like no other, allowing for excellent traction even in less than excellent conditions. Stiff sidewalls and durable rubber compound fend off flats to keep you doing what matters most.
- Dual Tread Compound (DTC) uses the durable L3R compound in the middle for excellent tread life and the Stick-E rubber compound on the side for slipless traction
- Ramped center knobs keep traction high and rolling resistance low

old_skol43I bought the 2.1 folding tire and it's big. It's about the size of my older 2.3 Maxxis tires. This is my first Kenda tire and I'm happy with it. First, it's directional, so for the rear you should switch it for pedaling traction. This however eliminates the fast rolling property, but it grips, even in light mud conditions it works good. I haven't ridden it in "dry" conditions yet, but I don't see any problems when that comes around. I do have a bit of an issue with the tire itself though. It has a "wobble" to it. The bead is uniformly seated and it has a "un seated" look to it. This is something I'd expect from a tire at a lower price point, which I've had "mid grade" tires in the past with this problem. I only felt it after a short ride down a paved road. Unfortunately, now that I know it's there I feel it more. I keep my wheels trued, so I first thought it was the rim. It's a good tire, don't get me wrong, I just don't see a reason for the poor build.

seamansericBought this as a front tire for my hard tail. Combined with a maxxis crossmark or kenda small block eight rear tire gives you best of both worlds. The Nevegal provides velcro traction, and keeps me upright in quicker/sketchy corners. The crossmark rear keeps the speed up and rolling resistance down.
Great front tire and rear tire in very muddy conditions. In the meantime, I seem to be getting away with the crossmark rear just fine.

ds1157These tires make the difference with traction and performance. Some complain about the tire wall being to thin, but these are no thinner than any other tire that doesn't have reinforced side walls. If your looking for tread that grabs on a wide variety of surfaces, these are for you!
