A Guestgood pedal, smoother with the roller bearings than previous versions with bushings. Hoping they do not develop as much play as bushing versions did. Entry is more difficult than with std. egg beaters, but acceptable. Platform is more stable when not clipped in and you can actually pedal if not clipped in- dangerous on an egg beater. Your foot feels better supported when clipped in than on the egg beater.
NOTE- all Crank bros eggbeater and candy pedals now have the shorter spindles. These were an option in previous years, but now the longer (standard) spindles are not available. Bummer if you have heel clearance issues like I do.

A GuestStrong, reliable, easy entry/exit, clears mud far better than the rest of me, very comfortable amount of float... I rode a set of Smarties into the dust over the last couple years, loved 'em literally to pieces. This is supposed to be the same pedal but even longer lasting, and the color rocks!

A GuestI like the original Eggbeaters but wanted something with a bit of platform to distribute the weight. Candy looked to fit the bill. I have since found that the platform does not really get much of load, all of it going to the small areas over the spindle. Still, having an eggbeater with bearings (as opposed to bushings) is great, there's a noticeable reduction in friction. And as with other eggbeater pedals, entry and exit are easy and foot retention is good.

A GuestI have used Crank Brothers pedals on all my bikes for years but this Candy 3 pedal is a bit of a disappointment. They look great (for what that is worth). But there is no contact between my shoe and the metal Candy body. Crank Brothers says I need to buy their "Contact Tread Sleeve" which costs $10. When I go to the Crank Brothers website, they don't offer the sleeve for the Candy, only for the Eggbeater. But when you call Crank Brothers, all you get is voice mail or you get disconnected. Seems like Crank Brothers has slipped a bit of late... So I'm riding on my old Candies and the expensive new ones are sitting in a box - bummer!!

A GuestEasy entry, quick release when you want it. Good contact with the spindle when using the supplied shims. Don't get much contact with the platform but do get some.

A GuestFirst ever clip pedal I've ever owned, but it's giving me a secure feeling. Not easy for first timer, after several times on, got used to it. I like the build quality and color.
