Pretty good lamp for low to medium speed (10-20 mph) commuting over relatively safe terrain with street lighting. Very concentrated beam for illuminating directly ahead approximately 7-10 feet. Light is bright, and can be used effectively as a torch for repairs. On/off switch can easily be toggled in a bag, so ship without batteries. Quad AA batteries last quite a long time.
