For the price it is a pretty nice short. The chamois has been pretty comfortable. I do not find it that comfortable on rides over 50-60 miles. The grippers on the legs, while good when I start riding seem to loosen up over time and then the shorts start riding up my legs as the ride gets longer. For the price though I would get them again for shorter rides.

I'll go down to REI today and try on other large shorts. If they are all just as tight as these shorts then I'll know I'm just too fussy. So far, my impression of these shorts is that they run too small. They seem well made and to be of good quality, but I'd call these mediums, not larges.
