So far, these are great. They're minimal enough that I can leave them installed on my shoes, yet they block enough wind (and water?) that they add some degree of insulation.
They're just what I wanted for shorter, ~40 degree Seattle winter rides.

I recently used these in a 24 hour race with rain and sleet. My feet stayed warm. However, I supplemented the toe-warmers with a layer of duct-tape to ensure water resistance. Even with the duct-tape, I put a hole in the toe warmers by kicking a rock.
You get what you pay for here. A pretty good toe warmer that is not bullet proof. I would buy another pair.

I mostly like these toe covers, but the elastic strap that goes roughly under your arch is not nearly durable enough for that location. My first time wearing these, I did not pay close attention to placing that elastic, and wore almost completely through one of them in one ride. They are easy to get on and off, and they do a decent job of keeping toes warm on a cool day, but I don't expect them to last much longer.
