asked by: a guest Will this fit on Shimano XT m8000 crankset? inner ring
anwered by: canteau The XT M8000 crank does use a 64mm inner chainring, sometimes the shape of Shimano's crank spiders require you to file some of the material so that the chainring fits flat when using chainrings not made specifically for Shimano cranks.
Generally for 1x setups you want to use the middle position chainring on triple cranks for the best possible chainline.

bought a 1x10 fatbike with a 32 chain-ring..
going was tough in the snow. I put this on the inner ring and chainlis is not much different. took @ 15 mins to install, next ride was like I had 2 bigger gears in back.. just what I wanted.
will look at the oval absolute black for my 27.5 summer bike.
