RockShox took their trail-tested upper and lowers to sumo level with the Bluto. Reimagined to support the increased side loads caused by the wide axle and larger rolling mass. The Bluto is created to handle the specific needs of fat biking and this is the 1 reason that we are confident in how happy you will be when you set-up your new fat bike rig with one or upgrade what you're riding currently.
It''s super easy to set-up the air on your Bluto with SoloAir. You''ll fill both the positive and negative chambers through one Schrader valve. Not only is putting air in a snap, the uppers have Sag Gradients marked right on them to make finding the correct pressure extremely easy, and Air Guides are printed right on the back of the fork with the correct starting pressures for your weight. It''s also super easy to dial your ride with adjustments for rebound, low speed compression and a compression damper with open, platform and lockout positions.
The uppers on the RockShox Bluto are coated with a special coating called "Fast Black" to decrease friction and improve their durability.
Not to be forgotten, the ride quality and lateral stiffness are premium as expected from RockShox. The 15mm Maxle Lite in 150mm length gives the hub axle tons of strength and holds up to the massive gripping power of fat tires on corners. With Rapid Recovery your Bluto will be ready for the next bump quickly and correctly. This allows your tire to stay in contact with the ground and track the trail not the air.
