The same "easy rolling" base layer that all Schwalbe Triple Star Compounds have with a "medium soft" designation shoulder compound to make things grippy in the turns and a "medium" designation center tread compound to keep it fast going straight.

Schwalbe''s Nobby Nic HS411, their "all grounder", is a multi-award winning all-around MTB tire. Incredibly intelligent block placement and profile give this tire superior grip, especially while cornering. Schwalbe recommends actually running this tire in the same direction in the front and rear to optimize its performance. The shoulder tread compound goes far into the sidewalls for added protection.
