The Light & Motion Urban 400 is a sleek but bright "all in one" commuter light. The Light & Motion Urban series are the only lights currently on the market that feature 180 degrees of visibility thanks to the side amber lights.

The Urban 400 weighs in at 112g, which if you consider an AA battery weighs 24g (on our non-scientific shop scale) the Urban 400 is just a bit heavier than the 4 batteries that fit into the inexpensive lights with 10x the brightness. You will also save the cost of the batteries with a recharge cycle of about 1,000 times using disposable AA batteries for that same time period could cost $3,500 or more (based on a 4pk of AA batteries @ $3.50 a pack).

Review of the Light and Motion Urban 400 Commuter Rechargeable Headlight:
This was bought as an upgrade to an older Nite Rider Minewt 150 cordless. I love how much brighter the light is and can run the light on low and get about the same amount of light that the 150 did on high, but with a 6 hour run time as opposed to about an hour or so with the 150.

At first I didn't think that the side lights would be that big of a deal, kinda like an added feature, but on the second night I had a guy in his car roll down the window at the stop light and tell me he wished more cyclists had side lights because it served as a reminder to him that I was riding along side of him through some heavy traffic.

The only down side I can think of is the fact that the strap and mount are part of the light itself. It attaches easy enough but I remove the light every time I go in somewhere because if I didn't it would be stolen.

Summed up: With this light there is no excuse to not ride your bike because it's dark, unless your Mom tells you not to.

Yes, I would recomend this to a friend.
