all about the

Voodoo Cycles Zombie Disc Only 26"/29er Rigid Fork

Voodoo's Zombie is a perfect accompaniment to your new Voodoo frame. It's also a versatile replacement fork: while best suited for 29er frames, it is also good for 26" bikes designed around 130mm travel forks. The fork is 100mm wide all the way up to the crown, making for plenty of tire clearance and CroMo construction makes for a rugged fork that'll help your arms soak up the bumps without rattling your bones to death.

  • 1 1/8 threadless steerer, 230mm tall
  • 470mm axle to crown
  • 51mm IS disc mount only
  • CroMo blades and steerer tube
  • 38mm rake
  • 1382 grams

Unsure how this fork will impact your bike's handling? Keep in mind that every 20mm change in axle to crown length will change your head and seat tube angles by one degree; lengthening A-C will make the angles more slack, while shortening A-C will make them steeper. This pinkbike.com article gives some basic information regarding geometry, and manufacturers should list geometries for their frames and A-C measurements for forks on their web sites for figuring out how a fork swap will change things.

questions about the

Voodoo Cycles Zombie Disc Only 26"/29er Rigid Fork

asked by: A Visitor
Will this work on a SCOTT Sportster P55 to replace the stock suspension fork?
answered by: mlewis
From what I can tell, the Sportster 55 uses a straight 1-1/8" steertube, so yes this should work just fine.

Will this fit a specialized globe Vienna 3 ?
answered by: canteau
It will fit the bike but will not have the proper rake for the Vienna, because the way the Vienna is designed you are going to have best results using the stock fork that Specialized specs on the bike.

will this work on my mongoose Deception?
answered by: Ludwig
Yes fits no problem. Need to get a star nut and 40mm headset spacer.
answered by: mwirth
Just verify the size of the current fork you are running. As long as it has an 1-1/8 steer with a thread less headset you should be fine. Thanks!

2010 diamond back overdrive, would it fit?
answered by: mlewis
Yes, that bike uses a 1 1/8" steertube, this fork will fit just fine.

I have a 2008 Cannondale F4 Caffeine 29er. Would this fork fit?
answered by: mwirth
It should fit without any issues if you use a standard 1.5'' headset reducer. Thanks!

Review of the Voodoo Cycles Zombie Disc Only 26"/29er Rigid Fork:
Replaced the horrible and heavy SunTour XCT on a Diamondback Overdrive. What a difference! Dropped 3 pounds from the front end and quickened the response due to the steeper head tube angle (lowered the front about an inch). The ride is better than I expected. Definitely not squishy soft but not harsh either. Easy to stay in control as long as you keep an eye on your speed. Added benefit of improved climbing and it looks great, too.

Summed up: Nice improvement from the original SunTour XCT

Yes, I would recomend this to a friend.

Review of the Voodoo Cycles Zombie Disc Only 26"/29er Rigid Fork:
Put this fork on my rigid 29er. The steel fork adds a nice touch of flex to the frame's aluminium when rolling down hill. Outstanding value! I really dig the minimalist look.

Review of the Voodoo Cycles Zombie Disc Only 26"/29er Rigid Fork:
Installed this fork on my 2011 Specialized Hardrock. I reused the original Cane Creek headset. Installation was very easy. I used Avid 160mm disc adapter to mount caliper to fork. I have not put many miles on this set up, but thus far I have really liked it. Currenly running a 700x28 road tire but the best part is I can still fit my 29x2.1 mtb tire for offload use.

Yes, I would recomend this to a friend.

Review of the Voodoo Cycles Zombie Disc Only 26"/29er Rigid Fork:
I am using this fork on an older (2003) aluminum MTB bike that I converted over to a light touring/gravel road bike. It is has high quality welds and finish. This replaced an old, sloppy, worn out 100mm suspension fork. I left the steerer uncut, and added a high rise stem.

Made me love an old bike again! Looks cool too! :)

Yes, I would recomend this to a friend.
