How will this helmet fit compared to a lazer genesis?
A.

it will fit way better if you have a smaller, more oval head, with less forehead. The genesis slips all over, the UVEX fit right out of the box. Best helmet I've owned, and I've had them all...

Sorry, we haven't had any feedback on how the two helmets compare. The UVEX does look to be a bit more narrow, but I couldn't say how this will fit your head.

A GuestI am a huge, huge fan of Uvex helmets. I use this helmet for road and also have an XP100 for mountain. Highlights for me are: (1) Very light weight; (2) Great fit system including the latch system on the chin strap that allows size adjustment without adjusting the straps, plus a very secure and micro-adjustable size adjustment knob; (3) The bee-stopper mesh in the front vents - brilliant idea that has saved me from more than a few bee stings/spider bites; and (4) Durability, at least in regards to the mountain helmet that I've had for over a year - the road helmet seems no less durable, although I've not had a chance to "test" it yet.
The only maybe-downsides are styling and ventilation. It's not particularly flashy or aero and doesn't have the name factor of a Giro. The ventilation, while still very good, is not quite on par with the tops of the tops, if that's an important factor for you. Otherwise, awesome helmet and a great value.
