The entire length of the steer tube for the 200mm length fork is 170mm. There is no spec for the length of the threading.

What should be verified to insure proper fit. I have a 89 Speciliazed I'm looking to give some new life. Its 26" has a 1" threaded steer. What are some factors that would prevent this fork from working or is it good to go?
A.
anwered by: canteau
You'll need to match up the axle to crown length and the length of your steerer tube.
Also if your stock fork has a built in cable hanger for a cantilever brake, you'll need to come up with a solution for that also if you are using cantilever brakes.

You'll also need to measure the stack height of your headset, then add the two measurements together. Here's a great article on Parktool.com on steertube length: http://www.parktool.com/blog/repair-help/fork-steering-column-length-and-sizing
