The Slant Six tire is Kenda's newest addition to their line, and promises to be a winner. Blending treads from two of mountain bike legend John Tomac's winningest tires, the Small Block Eight and the Nevegal, the Slant Six is built for fast aggressive riding. Designed to be an all around tire on hard pack to intermediate terrain; the Slant Six gives you low rolling resistance but keeps things grippy with Nevegal shaped knobs. This middle ground tire promises to be one of the coolest innovations of 2011. Podium finishes don't lie!

Review of the Kenda Slant 6 26 x 2.10 DTC Folding Bead Tire:
Quick review of the Slant 6 is they are basically a faster and smoother Nevegal. They aren't nearly as light or fast as the Small Blocks, but they grip like crazy on everything. Round profile and even knobs makes for smooth transitions between upright and hard cornering. Wish they were lighter...maybe next year.

Summed up: If you like the Nevegals, you'll love these.

Wanted something with less rolling resistance on the rear, this tire is it. Have a nevegal upfront and this one rear great combo, hooks up great corners even better.

Review of the Kenda Slant 6 26 x 2.10 DTC Folding Bead Tire:
I was running a nevegal up front and a kozmic light II on the back. I changed the nevegal out for the slant six and now run that up front. It is immediately noticeable how much faster it rolls, grip in the turns actually feels very similar to that of the nevegal. I find over pine needles, on dry hard pack or fine gravel this tire is better than the nevegal. In mud you can feel this tire reaching its limits, where the nevagal might be okay, but the loss of traction has a very gradual feel. Overall I am very impressed with this tire so far! If you are still running a nev / sb8 combo I would say you have to try this up front!
I agree with the other reviewer, only down side- it is no lghter than the nevegal!!

I put these tires on my 10 year old Trek 4500. With the original tires on the bike, I felt the bike slide in the corners quite often. With the slant 6, I end up slowing down more than I have to. The tires just stick that good. Now I am the limiting factor and not the tire. Great all around tire.

Summed up: If you are looking for a tire that will handle most conditions well, buy these.

Great tire! I switched from 2 Small Block 8's to these in both front and back. They grip like crazy, and the ride is super smooth.

Summed up: Great tire! Id definitely buy again.

rolls better than nevegal with better traction than small block 8. set up tubless with sealant quickly and easily with very minimal sidewall weep. not sure about long term durability but so far so good.
