ratpickThis is my first drop post but I'm glad I waited. I was lining up the Spec Command Post because it had 3 stops but infinite beats it out easily!
It has a very tiny amount of movement (front-back) that I don't notice when riding, but is obvious when manipulating by hand. A friend of mine with this post has the same. It's not a problem.
I should also note that the Matchmaker attachment works really well with SRAM shifters placing the remote in a perfect position.
It came with a full bleed kit so I assumed it had no fluid in the cable - but it did. Before using you do need to bleed the remote trigger only (not the cable) or the post will move very slowly. Instructions on SRAM's website here http://www.sram.com/_media/techdocs/Reverb Remote Assembly Bleed.pdf. The instructions that came with the post did not mention this.
I've heard that lubricating the post is a maintenance activity that will keep it moving easily and quickly, although I haven't had to do this yet.
This makes riding so much better - no more compromise between optimal climbing and optimal descending positions, or manually adjusting at trailheads. Raising is so easy and fast that you'll find yourself raising and lowering at each little drop and bump. My riding buddies noted how much faster I was descending.
Tree Fort had the best price and very fast shipping.

A GuestFirst of all Tree Fort was great in answering questions and quick shipping. This product is the best out there. NO movement in the seat in any position. The seat adjusts with no problems after 12 rides. Silky smooth and the boys haven't gotten whacked with this product compared to the spring loaded command post and similar out there.
Totally thumbs up.

A GuestHad just over a month now and really like it. This is my first dropper seatpost so I don't have experience with reliability and durability problems of previous dropper posts. We'll see how this one holds up, but so far so good. I can say it really does change the way I ride and I've had no problems with it.

A GuestMakes me stronger on the climbs and faster on the descents.
My riding buddies have different seat-droppers. They are jealous of mine because it is infinitely adjustable, has a smoother action and a better finish.

mbeall82I use this post on my hardtail and it makes downhills way more fun. When I'm feeling springy I can drop the seat out of the way and bunny hop about twice my normal hop height. It's the perfect addition to any mountain bike used by an aggressive rider. There is a very nominal amount of lateral movement in the post, but it's unnoticeable while you are in the saddle, which is what counts. The x loc mechanism is far superior to the other activation mechs of other gravity droppers. All in all, this seat post is the king of mountain bike seat posts.

ryderjinDropper seatposts have an immediate impact on your mountain bike ride. It really needs to be your next upgrade for your mountain bike -- whether you ride cross-country, trail, or all-mountain. (That said, I think it should be required component for any serious trail bike. It really makes your bike that much more versatile.)
And as of now, there is none that is better than the RockShox Reverb. Here is why I think this:
- 125mm travel. That is almost 5 inches of travel! And, despite what you might think, you will actually use ALL of it.
- Infinite adjustment. Meaning, you can stop the travel anywhere between 0mm and 125mm. And you will appreciate this too.
- Hydraulic. Smooth action. Less mess once you get it set up right. (Okay, it does require some work to setup. But it is NOT very difficult. The bleed for this thing is super easy.)
- Actuator is actually useful, somewhat ergonomic (could be improved). Have you seen the other dropper post actuators? Ridiculous.
- Tight construction. No wiggle on my seat anywhere.
And the reliability, so far for me, as been amazing. Check out the reviews on other dropper posts... questionable. I know that that there were some quality control issues when these first got released, but my sense is that RockShox got the bugs out.
Seriously, this one component has significantly improved both my downhilling, as well as tough, technical climbs.

dwestwoodBest dropper post so far. I have owned a few in the past and all were junk, very unreliable, lots of slop in the seat. I stopped using them because of this, until now. The Reverb was easy to install and bleed. I only have four rides so far on this post, but has been flawless so far. The post has minimal amount of play, you can not notice it while riding. The speed adjustment is awesome. My reverb was smooth out of the box. Only time will tell if this post hold up but so far it is looking good.
