Review of the Nitto M18 Front Rack:
I really had no problem mounting this, even to my Weinmann center pull, without instructions, and remounting a shorty fender on the other end of the brake bolt. The key is getting it all assembled with the wheel off, don't tighten, then put the wheel back on with full pressure and hold the brake as you re-tighten the main brake bolt. Then adjust and final-tighten the rack. My bike doesn't have fork braze-ons, so I used the fork-mount wraps which are very well made. Nitto makes some 42cm stays, which would be perfect for attaching to my fork drop-outs, and I may eventually chase these down.
This is a very useful lightweight, light-load rack, and makes a lot of sense with a small bag for icing down your favorite beverage, extending your rear-rack trunk bag picnic, jamming in a bunch of tools, or maybe bringing along a personal-size watermelon.
Tree Fort's price on this is by far the best you'll find. After admiring my work, I found myself polishing my rear Blackburn rack to make it look a little more like this gorgeous brazed, chromed steel.

Summed up: Classy randonneur touch.

Yes, I would recomend this to a friend.

Review of the Nitto M18 Front Rack:
This rack is beautifully made and finished. Sure, it's expensive, but it will probably outlast your bike, and you.

I didn't have trouble mounting it, in spite of the lack of instructions. However, I found that the legs weren't long enought to use with the low-rider rack mount on my front fork. I used the provided clamps, but if Nitto makes a longer stay, I'd like to use it with my lowrider mount.

Summed up: One for the ages
