ChaadsterI smashed an Athena lever in a crash, so replaced the rear shifter with Chorus in order to get the Ultrashift, which allows me to drop 3 cogs at a time (I think it's three anyway). Kinda handy for powering down the backside of climbs, but aside from that small benefit, the feel and action is no better than the Athena it replaced. The downshift ear on the Chorus is a little bigger than the Athena, so if you were prone to accidentally bump the Athena one, plan for a little more of the same with these older style Chorus levers; the new EPS style "floppy ears" are much more ergo in that regard, and should be easier for folks with short thumbs to tap when in the drops.
