Review of the Sun Ringle CR-18 700c Polished Road Rim:
I bought this wheel as a replacement for my Sun m13ii's. I commute almost daily with my old '90 Raleigh. I wore out the rear M13 in about 8 months from brake wear. However, they were good rims. The CR-18' s are built heavier, and are a bit heavier. However, I am more interesting in strength and durability, so it does not bother me that much. I did have to take the washers off of my brake pads in order to make more space for the rim, since it is considerably wider than the m13ii. So far so good.

Yes, I would recomend this to a friend.

Review of the Sun Ringle CR-18 700c Polished Road Rim:
The iconic CR-18 in polished state is a nearly perfect all-rounder wheel (no pun intended) and makes for a beautiful build on a vintage bicycle that you want to update with modern rims. After having a set of RynoLites built for my tandem with great success, I decided to pair a set of the CR-18's to Sturmey-Archer hubs for my 1972 Peugeot UE-8. I couldn't be happier with the wheels - they built up nicely and didn't require a ton of toying around to get them properly trued. The polished rim is just icing on the cake.

Summed up: Nice finish, easy to build and strong wheel that looks great when paired with polished Sturmey-Archer hubs.

Yes, I would recomend this to a friend.

Review of the Sun Ringle CR-18 700c Polished Road Rim:
Great rim value for the money. I have used these before, and will again. They take lots of punishment, and hold up through it all.

I once bought a bike that was in a head on crash. The frame was bent up bad, but the front wheel (cr18) was just fine.

Review of the Sun Ringle CR-18 700c Polished Road Rim:
I needed some strong wheels to stay true as I was over 350 lbs. The pair of cr18s were built with Dt Swiss straight gauge spokes on some Ultegra 600 36 hole hubs. After a break in period and some small adjustments there staying true and have reliably helped me shed over 20 lbs . If you are looking for rugged durable wheels for training or carrying loads try these out.

Yes, I would recomend this to a friend.

Review of the Sun Ringle CR-18 700c Polished Road Rim:
I bought these to replace an old set of Araya rims (ERD 614). The Sun ones are some of the only ones on the market. Well built from what I can tell, though I haven't ridden on the much yet.

Only concern is that it is really difficult to get a 700c tire on them. Think three tire irons, and some decent muscle. It would be easier without a metal wire bead on the tire, if you are considering buy tires concurrently with the rims.

Otherwise a decent price for a rare 700c replacement.

Summed up: Good replacement for old rims with large ERD. -Takes some serious effort to get the tires on.

Yes, I would recomend this to a friend.
