Morning Rush Coffee Mug and Holder

I was looking for a cup holder for my wife's cruiser and thought this would be great after reading about it in Bicycling. I purchased 2-1 for her and one for me. We rode bout 1/2 mile before the first one exploded off her bike. Thinking no big deal, I installed the second Morning Rush Cup Holder. It lasted nearly 3/4 of a mile before it came completely apart. I purchased them from SOMA 2-3 months before Mothers Day and since she rarely rides the second one just broke today.
