Already one of the most popular and winning helmets on both the road and mountain bike circuits, the Sweep gets even better for 2009 with an upgrade to Bell's all-new Twin Axis Gear (TAG) fit system. With 20 functional vents actively channeling airflow over the head and out the rear, a feathery curb weight and a bevy of top-level features, it''s easy to see why the Sweep is a racer favorite. Stout construction with the Fusion In-Mold Microshell and bottom wrap along with an internal reinforcing skeleton make the Sweep strong yet svelte. Dialed race graphics and a removable VPV visor complete the package.

Finally, a high end helmet that is great for cross country mountain biking and road biking! This is a great helmet. Very nice fit, good adjustability, looks sleek, and great venting. The problem with mountain specific helmets, like the Bell Influx, is that they are too noisy on the road because of the big vents. This one is not noisy on the road, but still cools the head on the trail. A word of caution: don't put the pads in the dryer, they will fall apart. Otherwise, everything is perfect. Helmet is going strong over a year later and still looks new.
Summed up: Sturdy helmet with a good fit and vents well for both mountain and road riding!
Yes, I would recomend this to a friend.

This is the first "high end" helmet I bought. Before the Sweep, I was buying the entry level $30-$40 helmets, because I figured there really couldnt be much difference between an entry level and a high end helmet. After I destroyed my old helmet, I got this one and I couldn't be happier.
It is an awesome helmet. It's very light and the vents are so well placed I sometimes forget that I'm wearing it. I have never worn a helmet this comfortable before. Warm weather rides are much more pleasant. If you were debating between an entry level helmet and something a little higher up, I would say spend a little extra because it is totally worth it.
