Bell strikes with electromotive force on the all-new Volt, an amazing combination of massive ventilation, svelte weight, and high-tech comfort. Eleven frontal vents corral massive amounts of air with the help of the Volt's custom-sculpted Composite Fiber Intakes™ (CFI) which direct flow to the helmet''s internal StreamJet Ventilation™ channels. Rearward exhaust ports and the moisture-wicking X-Static™ padding work in tandem to help keep the rider cool and dry. The Volt is made even more comfortable by Bell''s next-generation Twin Axis Gear™ (TAG) fit system that allows riders to both dial in the exact fit, as well as adjust the mechanism''s horizontal position on the back of the head. Designed to be used on- or off-road, the Volt features Bell''s removable Variable Position Visor™(VPV) and is equally at home in Tour de France as it is on the World Cup XC mountain bike circuit.

I have always worn Giro helmets and found that they had small pressure points due to to how they fit my head which gave me headaches after long rides. I figured that I would just have to live with it. When it came time to buy a new helmet, I thought I would try the Volt since it had a removable visor and I could use it on road as well as mountain. The fit was perfect for my head. No headaches after wearing it a few hours. Their dial in system for adjusting the helmet works very well. I also liked the Saxo Bank team issue (good enough for the Schleck brothers and Fabian Cancellera, good enough for me).
It is light with good ventallation and I got it for a good price through Tree Fort.
Fit will depend on your preferances and head shape.
Top of the line helmet as far an I'm concerned. I love it. I don't even notice that I have a helmet on anymore because it is so comfortable and light-weight. I think the styling of course is awesome as well. I rode for about 2 years with a very entry-level helmet so it was time to upgrade... definitely a great choice for the serious rider/racer.

This helmet fits better and more comfortable than the Giro Atmos I was wearing. It seems to dissappear on my head and I don't realize I'm wearing it. I also like the styling better. The only negative is it doesn't seem to ventilate quite as well as my Giro. But overall I do like it much better than my Giro.
