The Kenda Small Block 8 comes in a 700 X 35C...is the actual width really 35 mm?

The labeled width is 35mm but it is important to keep in mind that once installed the width may vary a bit due to rim sizes.

Review of the Kenda Tomac Small Block 8 700c x 35 DTC Blk Kev:
These came on my Giant TCX2, I love these tires. I have put 3600 miles on these tires. commuting, touring, and even 300 miles with 35lbs of camping gear loaded on my rear rack. I ride MTB trails, ride with the road crowd, weekend touring, etc.. The only flat I've had was after a cyclocross race where I was running about 45psi, and that was a slow leak from a pinched tube. They are great in hard pack and grass, not as good in heavy mud or deep sand. It is hard to find another tire this wide that is this light.

Yes, I would recomend this to a friend.

Review of the Kenda Tomac Small Block 8 700c x 35 DTC Blk Kev:
Installed these with as tubeless with the Caffe Latex kit. Running about 50-60 psi- they corner well and are fast in dry conditions. Sidewalls are supple and hook up well.

Summed up: Better than the Michelin Jets for dry conditions.

Yes, I would recomend this to a friend.

Review of the Kenda Tomac Small Block 8 700c x 35 DTC Blk Kev:
I use these for Dirt Road runs and commuting. They roll fast, but like any CX tire, will wear out fairly fast. Worth it for the capabilities of this tire, though. I get about 300 miles out of my rear tire in commuting usage. More than enough for a Cross season.

Summed up: Great grip, Fast rolling (and wearing) tire

Yes, I would recomend this to a friend.

Review of the Kenda Tomac Small Block 8 700c x 35 DTC Blk Kev:
These live up to the hype. I built up a set of velocity A23 wheels, and ride these tires with challenge latex tubes. Don't know which is the driver, but this set up is better than the tufo flexus primus tubular get up I paid almost $250 in tires alone for!. I've been using them for everything: light single track, dirt roads, commuting, even have jumped in to a couple of low key roadie group rides. Have not seen the wear issues described by others. I run them 30 up front, 35 in the back, which is pretty close to tubie pressures (keep in mind I've got 23mm wide rims, though).

Summed up: Fast rolling, quite on the roads, more than enough traction for single track.

Yes, I would recomend this to a friend.

Review of the Kenda Tomac Small Block 8 700c x 35 DTC Blk Kev:
This my second pair- this time going on my single speed cyclocross bike. Better than Michelin Jets for dry dusty conditions.

I would recommend these as the best tire I have found for all-round dry conditions. Even loose sand covered hardpack- the Kendas work well

Summed up: I would buy these again in a heartbeat for a great all round dry tire in the intermountain west.

Yes, I would recomend this to a friend.

Review of the Kenda Tomac Small Block 8 700c x 35 DTC Blk Kev:
Bought these as an inexpensive all around CX tire and so far I've been happy with them. Replaced a worn set of Speedmax and I didn't expect any better grip, but I sure got it...especially in the corners, which was surprising.

I ran them a little lower pressure (45 psi) than the Ritcheys (50 psi) and was a little worried about pinch flats, but so far so good.

The 35 width is really decieving, when I forst got them, I thought they sent me the 32 as a mistake, but no, the tires are marked 35. So I def recommend the wider version, unless you are super lightweight and don't want the extra volume.

Summed up: So far, it seems like a good value on an all around tire.

Yes, I would recomend this to a friend.

Review of the Kenda Tomac Small Block 8 700c x 35 DTC Blk Kev:
These came on my Cannondale Caad 8 Cross 5. 1st day out a small piece of glass made it through and flattened the tube. I was about 8 miles from home. A week later I got a pinch flat and can't figure out what I may have hit. These tires are really difficult to get back on the rim. I replaced them after 3 weeks with some heavier, but more durable, Schwalbes. A lot of things get stuck easily in the small block tread. Sorry to sound like a whiner, but it was pretty annoying.

Summed up: Would not buy
