Review of the SKS XL Raceblade Fender Set Black:

The Raceblade XL fenders were the best solution for my cyclocross bike, which doesn't have fender mounts. Compared to fenders that mount to the seat post, these fenders do a better job because they are close to the tires. Both fenders are similar to full conventional fenders from the fork or seat stay back. Water and mud does kick forward at the fronts, and gets those parts of the frame dirty.

They do a great job for the main functions - keeping the stripe off my back, and keeping my feet dry.

The fenders I received came with the extra splash guards.

They also come with stickers to protect the frame, but mine had only two instead of the required four. Tree Fort Bikes contacted the manufacturer for me, and a new set of stickers arrived in the mail a few days later. Thank you for the great customer service!

Mounting the fenders is much easier and faster than ones that use fender mounts. It isn't quite fast enough so that you can decide whether to use them for each ride. But if you see a week of nice weather ahead, go ahead and take them off!
