Will these fenders fit a 35mm Vittoria randonee touring tire?
A.
anwered by: mlewis
Typically you want your fenders about 10mm wider than your tires. For those tires you'll need a 45mm fender, assuming your frame has enough clearance.

labishThe instructions are vague, but I didn't have a problem installing the fenders. These are much easier to install than aluminum and steel fenders that I have used in the past. I cut the stays to length- even with the clamp, thus eliminated the plastic end caps. This gives the fenders a much cleaner look, without those funny looking caps sticking up above the fender. I am well pleased with the quality, design and looks of these fenders. SKS should design an optional mud flap for the front fender. I will probably make something from a plastic bottle.

cptfxThese work fine, but you have to put some work into them. While the assembly isn't hard, there may be some points of confusion if you've never mounted fenders before. I'm still confused about the design on the end caps for the stays. All in all I would recommend serfas or planet bike fenders over these. They come in a more assembled state and have mudflaps. They will be less work for the same price.

gammadogFenders fit fine and are sturdy. Luckily, didn't need Sherrod Brown bolts/screws - they are too big to fit through the mounting holes. Instructions are limited to screwing into the mounts only. My Dremel cutting tool was needed to trim the stays to the right length, so a basic eye for geometry is a must. However, if you are subject to Basil Fawltey meltdowns, do avoid trying to mount these fenders. Also, if your bike doesn't have mounts on the fork or dropouts, Ortlieb USA has skewer adapters to fasten fenders and racks.
