The CatEye Single Shot Plus will charge up via the trickle charger in around 4 hours and it uses an internal NiMh battery.

Very bright with a friendly beam. The rechargeable batteries are replaceable for when they eventually wear out (unlike my iPhone). The unit is flat and wide rather than round so this might limit some mounting possibilities.
