Town and Country Tire 26 x 1.9
Continental's Town and Country tire is designed for high mileage, puncture resistance, and low rolling resistance, making it great for every day use. It''s a staple in law enforcement around the world and right here in Ypsilanti at some of the local police departments we service. The recessed tread pattern adds a little extra grip on looser ground while its consistent center bead adds to its speed. The 26 x 1.9" shown here is just a little more speedy than its wider bodied 2.1" big brother. When it comes to a go anywhere, do anything tire the Continental Town and Country has got it pegged.

A GuestThis is the best all around general purpose tire I have ever used. Off road traction is very respectable, will almost keep up with a knobby, yet unique tread design -similar to a universal motorcycle tire- provides exceptionally low rolling resistance for a tire of this size.
The tread area of this tire is virtually bullet-proof. I have been using these for years on two bikes in all conditions, with no flats, ever! They are a long wearing tire. The sidewalls however are as vulnerable as any other tire and I have had to replace one due to fraying after scraping something sharp.

gsimondsI bought these to convert my MTB to a commuter. On hard pavement, they're so much nicer than the knobby MTB tires. They also seem fine on packed dirt trains. A little squirley in soft sand, but that's to be expected. Actually, they did better than I thought they would.
