questions about the

Salsa Flip Lock Seat Clamp

asked by: A Visitor
What clamp will fit my 2009 Giant Anthem with a 30.9mm seat post?
answered by: mwirth
You will need to measure the outside diameter of the seat tube. It is not always possible to get a size strictly from the seatpost diameter. Thanks!
asked by: bryankt
what size will I need for a Santa Cruz superlight 29er? It has a 30.9 seatpost.
answered by: mlewis
From what I could find out on the Santa Cruz website looks like that bike uses a 34.9mm collar.
asked by: A Visitor
what size seat clamp for a 2010 trek 2.3
answered by: mlewis
Trek did not have seat clamp sizes posted on their website for that model, so you will have to measure the outside diameter of the seat tube with some calipers.

What size clamp for a Ragley Blue Pig X? Thanks.
answered by: mlewis
From the info I could find on Ragley's web site, you'll need a 35.0mm clamp, I don't know if that is different with older models though, you may want to contact Ragley to confirm.
asked by: A Visitor
What size do I need for a 2011 Trek Rig? I show the post size at 27.2mm?
answered by: s.myers
What I've been able to look up indicates that a 32.0 collar should work for you, though I would recommend giving Trek a quick call to confirm or measuring the OD of your seat tube with some calipers.
asked by: hogi4life
what size do I need for a 2010 Redline Flight Monocog 29er?
answered by: jrichard
Redline is not a brand we sell, so I don't have an exact answer. The best information that I have is that it's a 28.6 collar. I found this info on a few different forums. I would however, recommend that you measure the OD of the seattube with a set of calipers to be sure.
asked by: jbansley
How come the price match feature isnt available for this item?
answered by: bkearns
Unfortunately our dealer agreement with Salsa doesn't allow us to price match their products. Sorry!

What size clamp do I need for a Chumba Evo frame?
answered by: smulder
Sorry, I don't have access to a Chumba Evo. Wish I did! To measure all you need to do is either take a caliper and measure the area where the clamp goes on the outside of the tube or measure across the top of the tube with a metric ruler.

What clamp is needed for a Trek Fuel 5.5?
answered by: smulder
I'm sorry we don't sell Trek and would not know the exact size for that. To measure all you need to do is either take a caliper and measure the area where the clamp goes on the outside of the tube or measure across the top of the tube with a metric ruler.

Review of the Salsa Flip Lock Seat Clamp:
Stops the seatpost from sliding. Looks shiny, and the red complements my bike's colors. The lever is perhaps a little longer than it has to be, and I worry about catching my clothes on it. The lever curves in so that hasn't been a problem for me. I guess you shouldn't wear super baggy clothes when riding...

Yes, I would recomend this to a friend.

Review of the Salsa Flip Lock Seat Clamp:
This is a quality part. I bought this for an Niner MCR frame in hopes that it'll fit but 30mm vs 29.6mm required is just a hair too loose. It looks like the Niner frame is built to exact dim. and Salsa too. So a diff. of 0.4mm is too much.

Yes, I would recomend this to a friend.

Review of the Salsa Flip Lock Seat Clamp:
The lever is super-long, which makes it easy to get a tight clamp without murdering your hand. Plus, it looks sweet, especially if you get a cool color. One thing to be aware of is that you need an Allen wrench to adjust the tightness before you clamp it down. Not a big deal, though, because once you set it, it stays put.

Yes, I would recomend this to a friend.
