City 26 x 1.85 Reflective Strip Tire Black

This is a big heavy tire but that said it rolls really fast, sticks like glue on the corners and is nearly bulletproof. I ride mostly paved trails on an old rigid frame Cannondale M400 and mounting this tire was like adding shocks. That big heavy tire eats up a lot of bumps and smooths out the trail while rolling surprisingly fast. I have a set of both the 1.85 and the 1.4 sizes. I bought the 1.4s thinking that they would roll a lot faster than the 1.85s but they really don't at the expense of the softer ride of the 1.85s. The 1.85s are wide enough to ride well on packed gravel trails but you don't have a lot of control when the gravel gets loose. On city streets they handle great and I haven't yet had any glass, nails, thorns or other sharp objects puncture through the protective belt. For paved trails this is a great choice. They handle well, wear well and they don't get flats.

These tires are great for rides on paved trails. There is plenty of traction yet they provide a smooth ride with less resistance.

Bought 2 of these tires to replace stock knobbys on a hardrock. I run them at about 70psi, twice what a typical mountain bike tire is. These tires are fast and smooth. My girl couldn't keep up with me. Put 2 on her bike, and she loves them too. I see so many people on the asphalt bike trail on hines drive with knobby tires. They don't know what they are missing. Buy these tires without hesitation.

I just replaced 1.5 continentals and have more tire and same roll. Much softer ride. First 400 miles no problems. Time will tell for the long haul. I am considering two more for future tour. Plenty of tire to carry some weight.

300 miles and so far so good. The 87psi rolls well and is still soft enough for rough pavement. I am ordering two more and will start a cross country tour. I will carry one extra for a spare.

This tire rolls really nicely. I have over 300 street miles on them and the rear still has faint traces of the tread center mold flash. On the front the line is clearly visible. Had the 1.4 size last for over 3k, last year, before the inner compound started showing. TFB only had the 1.85 size available so I went with them. The difference in rolling resistance is negligible. I like the larger width tire better, it is a bit more stable and the ride is more cushioned.
