I have grip shifts and wonder if the GC2 can operate with them?
A.

The Ergon site states:
Name: GC2
Model: for regular shifters, Gripshift and
Rohloff / Nexus
A.

Though the Ergon site states that they will work we wanted to point out that these would make the grip area very long and the grip shift would not sit in the traditional placement with your hand.

A GuestThese grips evenly distribute pressure across the palm of your hand, instead of focusing your upper body weight just below the knuckles. I have carpal tunnel, and these grips make riding my bike much more comfortable, even on long treks. I'd recommend these to anyone looking for a more comfortable ride, or to protect their hands from the stresses of riding.

A GuestThe shape definitely helps manage hand discomfort. After two weeks of commuting I have yet to use the bar ends. I probably would use them on a training ride. Still, the bar ends will balance my bike on the floor when I invert it for repairs. Until I got the Ergonomic Grips with Bar Ends my bike would wobble on the handlebar stem.

jktremaineI am using a mtb frame while living temporarily in DC, and these grips were a very worthwhile upgrade from standard rubber mtb grips. Having multiple positions makes long commutes and weekend rides a lot more enjoyable.

ricoincThe guys at Tree Fort really know what they are talking about. This product was recommended and I couldn't be happier. My wrists thank me every time I ride. It definitely make s a longer ride more comfortable.

chr...@li...e.comI'm a big fan of Ergon grips -- all my straight-bar bikes have them. The bar ends are a mixed blessing: they allow an alternate hand position, but they really don't help much when climbing -- they are too short to get any real
grip on them.
But the grips mount easily, are adjustable to nearly any position and really add comfort to the ride.

A GuestThe grip is very comfy but the small barend is basically worthless.
