Nevegal DTC 26 x 2.35 Black Kevlar Tire
The Kenda Nevegal - also commonly known as the "do-everything" mountain tire. Rip through the downhill course, pound over rocks and roots on the trail, climb those rutted and sandy all-mountain trails, or even tear up the race course. The Kenda Nevegal can do it all. Widely spaced boxy knobs keep the rubber side down in nearly all situations. Rip through mud, dig into sand, and climb like a goat with the superb traction of the knobby tread.
The wide spaces clear mud, dirt, and sand like no other, allowing for excellent traction even in less than excellent conditions. Stiff sidewalls and durable rubber compound fend off flats to keep you doing what matters most.
- Dual Tread Compound (DTC) uses the durable L3R compound in the middle for excellent tread life and the Stick-E rubber compound on the side for slipless traction
- Ramped center knobs keep traction high and rolling resistance low

canteauThe Nevegal 2.35 is either a fat XC tire or a skinny freeride tire depending on how you look at it.
I use it as a fat XC tire to give my Cannondale hardtail a little more cush. My local trails can also get pretty sandy during the summer if it hasn't rained in a while and the larger volume gives a little more float that the thinner versions.
I have not had any issues with the Nevegal's hooking up when inflated to around 30psi. This seems to be a pretty good pressure for these and I haven't had any issues with pinch flats.
I don't think I would use this as a race tire because it does roll a bit slower than the Kenda Small Block 8 or the Schwalbe Racing Ralph. It does however offer better traction than either of these.

TrackieGreat tire works better than my old Specialized tires but wears faster. The grip is good but not as good as the WTB's i have on my other bike. I ride mostly loose dirt, gravel and a few hard packed trails. It shines in hard packed trails but thats what wears it down the most. Good tire but wears faster than wanted.

A GuestI've tried Schwable's and WTBs looking to find an alternative but end up always going back to the Nevegals. Works great for me and that's all that matters. You'll have to decide for yourself but there's a reason why these tires are so popular for us all around kinda guys.

dmasseyPurchased the 2.35" size. Great traction, good ride characteristics, gives a lot of confidence at all times, love them. Mounted easily. I realize these are not tubeless ready tires, but I need them tubeless for riding in Arizona. I've set-up many tires tubeless (tubeless ready & non-tubeless ready types). I could not get these to seal, there is a ribbed pattern along the bead that will not seal with Stans, contiuously leaks. I had to give up & use different tires.

A GuestGreat tire for me as a bigger guy, keeps my back end from kicking out on terrain. Love the tire more than the WTB's that I had on my specialized, now have these on my santa cruz blur.

moabjonBought these to replace Specialized Captain 26x2.0 tires after listening to my wife rave about how good her 26x2.1 Nevegal tires were. These are great tires. I ride trails and they just cruise over anything. These tires have amazing grip in just about any dry conditions. I live in Moab so I ride wet conditions about 1 in 100 rides so can't speak about wet conditions. Great in sand, mixed rock/sand, and steep rock. They feel rock solid.
The only downside I see is rolling resistance on the road because they are so "grippy" but I don't care because they are so damn good on the trail.
I run 38-40psi and have had no flats or other issues.
