I have a road morph pump with frame mount bracket. How do you mount the bottle cage?
answered by: mwirth
It mounts via waterbottle braze-ons. In the store we use longer 4mm screws and mount the bottle cage on top of the pump mount.

Review of the Topeak Road Morph Frame Pump w/Guage:
This pump is as good as you're going to find for mini pump, it's less expensive then the Lezyne and actually the Morph works better...I know, I own both! Technically this not a true mini, it's a large and heavy mini, but don't let size and weight scare you, it's because of it's size is the main reason it will pump up to at least 130psi with relative ease and few strokes. A true mini that is significantly smaller then this Topeak will take 500 to 700 strokes just to get to 70psi and they will never break the 100psi barrier, the Topeak will take about 200 strokes to get to 100. Also the Topeak comes with flip out handle and a flip out foot peg to make pumping easy.

The only really odd thing is that Topeak does not include a water boss mount that will allow the water bottle cage to remain, so you have to buy that separate so you have to pay $5.95 to get the pump to that and can get that part here: http://store.todson.com/store/wb-bracket-for-rd-morph-peak-dx-mt-rock-harpoon-ex-tpd-2c.html Lezyne has its weird thing too, it does not come with gauge, though you can buy one from them for about $22. Also the Morph, like the Lezyne, comes with an air hose making it virtually impossible to tear the valve stem. The Lezyne is lighter and looks a lot nicer, but it doesn't pump as good as the Morph.

Yes, I would recomend this to a friend.

Review of the Topeak Road Morph Frame Pump w/Guage:
This is the pump to have on long road trips. It's really a mini-floor pump, with a built in pressure gauge. You can rapidly inflate a tire to 120 psi with ease. While it's not as light as other frame pumps, it's more powerful.

Review of the Topeak Road Morph Frame Pump w/Guage:
I have been looking for a pump just like this for years. It is compact, but the fact that it converts into a quasi-floor pump makes this pump so much more effective than pumps costing twice as much.

Summed up: Best "hand" pump I have ever used.

Review of the Topeak Road Morph Frame Pump w/Guage:
A beauty. Light, effective. Acts like a floor pump with the flip-down foot tab. Compact. And it has a gauge.

I don't use the frame mount bracket, so can't comment there.

Our main use for it is extended touring where the combination of weight, gauge, and utility make it a must-have.

One negative would be that the gauge is a bit sticky. It jumps in 10 psi increments.

Review of the Topeak Road Morph Frame Pump w/Guage:
This pump is awesome. I use it regularly and it performs very well.

One piece of advice:
You will not find this anywhere in the literature but the valve receptacle is a very tight fit for presta valves. if you jam it on and rip it off it will likely damage your valve stem/ rip it out of the tube. If you slightly loosen the the rubber grommet cover (the part that retains the rubber valve type selection grommet) you will be able to easily slide it over the valve stem - tighten it inflate - loosen- take it off. This will insure you do not damage your valve stem due to excessive force.

Summed up: Buy it. It is an excellent pump.

Yes, I would recomend this to a friend.

Review of the Topeak Road Morph Frame Pump w/Guage:
This is by far the best portable, non-CO2 pump that I have used. It acts like a mini floor pump, in that it has a flexible filling hose, and a fold out tab to hold it in place with your foot while you pump. It pumps fairly easily, even to road tire pressures of ~120psi. The flexible hose allows you to pump from more comfortable positions than a pump with a fixed nozzle. Finally, while not totally necessary, the pressure gauge conveniently lets you check that you have reached your desired tire pressure. The gauge seems on par in accuracy/reliability with my floor pump at home.

Perfect size and makes a decent substitution for a full-size pump if you're running low on space. I simply love this pump!

Review of the Topeak Road Morph Frame Pump w/Guage:
Tire pumps = boring... BUT, this one works!
If you're a tourist, it fits in your top bag. If you're a mountain biker, it fills fast. Roadies, beware, you might have that accurate floor pump on your bike.

Review of the Topeak Road Morph Frame Pump w/Guage:
I received the pump and immediately tested it for my commuter hardtail MTB with slicks. It pumped the 26 x 1.4 tires nicely to 70psi. It is hard to figure out how to mount it. If you use the included mount that attaches to a water bottle mount, it must be clear that it will take that place up and a water bottle cage cannot be be mounted as well. Otherwise, the mounts have to be fastened to the frame with zip ties. After trying three different positions to mount I finally settled on one behind the seattube in front of the tire. I'm satisfied with the solidity of the mount for this particular bike/tire combo, but I would have had to dock a star if I could not find a good mounting location. This is not like other mini-pumps that can mount beside a water bottle cage.

Summed up: Seems like a good pump if it lasts. I like that it can get good pressure.

Yes, I would recomend this to a friend.
