questions about the

CatEye Strada Cadence Computer

asked by: A Visitor

what is the length of the cable wire from the mount to the pickup?
answered by: t.young
Cateye doesn't specify, I would think it's around 4 feet.
asked by: ajkovacs
Does the mount system allow for setups on more than one bike, just moving the computer?
answered by: mwirth
I would not see any reason you would not be able to purchase a few mounts and shuffle the headunit from mount to mount. It utilizes CatEye's flextite bracket which is how most all of there computers mount. Thanks!

Review of the CatEye Strada Cadence Computer:
Had it installed for about a month. So far, so good. I don't mind the wires, though they aren't the prettiest. The one-click cycle makes finding the right measure fairly easy.

Yes, I would recomend this to a friend.

Review of the CatEye Strada Cadence Computer:
It works exactly as advertised. No frills, just accurate information about your speed, time, and distance. The wire is what bugs me, no wired computers ever really fit as well as a wireless. The wire always comes loose over time no matter how tight you wrap it, you run the risk of it getting tugged, and it looks really ugly. Functionality is great, but I would suggest the Strada Wireless over this one just because of the reasons listed above.

Summed up: Nice computer, easy to use. The wire is annoying.

Yes, I would recomend this to a friend.

Review of the CatEye Strada Cadence Computer:
I ride about 160 miles per week on a 11' Giant TCR Composite road bike. This bike computer is everything it is advertised to be and you really can't ask for more for the low price you pay. I wanted to have a better understanding of my candace during rides so I thought I would give this computer a try. Installation was simple but time consuming. I would probably buy the double wireless version in retrospect due to the annoyance of installation and the bad look of zip ties and wires. But that is true of any wired computer. I started off with a candace in the mid 80s and now that I have been training to keep my cadence up for about 800 miles I naturally fall between 95 to 102. I must say running a higher candace at first feels wrong but now that I have worked on it I am riding faster than ever and am hardly winded during an 18 mile commuting ride averaging over 19 mph for the whole trip including slowing and stopping for traffic, lights and trains. (21- 25 mph on open road) I have found the cadence read out to be almost like a tachometer in a car...it tells me when to shift gears and keeps me from cheating for short term speed gain in too high of a gear or losing power in too low of a gear. If your significant other keeps a close eye on how much you spend on biking gear...you cannot go wrong with this computer for the price!

Yes, I would recomend this to a friend.

Review of the CatEye Strada Cadence Computer:
Running the wiring is a pain. Ditto what the previous reviewer said about the wiring. I had a Strada Wireless previously but it didn't have cadence. I like it better. The cadence stopped working after about a year and 5000 miles.

Yes, I would recomend this to a friend.
