A GuestGreat tire for hardpack, but you will know it when you hit a little bit of mud or too many leaves because it will wash out. I have only ridden these tires on hardpack for about 100 miles and wear is already pretty visible so I am unsure about how long these will last.

cur...@ao...l.comI have done a couple of endurance races with the small blocks. They are 100% my go to race tire. Great price, light weight, and when run at low enough psi, very good traction. I weigh 155 pounds and run these on stan's arch rims tubeless. I run 20 front and 23 rear. I ride in New England and some places are nothing but rocks, in that case I will bump up one or two.
I don't like these at higher psi with tubes, the sidewall really needs to flex for these to hook up. At 28 front 30 rear they were not good, I'm very happy I gave them another try when I switched to tubeless.

Rusty PitonThese are great for dry hardpack, but the minute you encounter even the slightest bit of moist dirt, the knobs clog up solid and the tires loose all traction.

A GuestBest rear 29er tire for dry/hardpack. Very fast

noossabThis tire makes an excellent rear tire expecially for climbing. I don't trust the tread as a front tire for any agressive downhill riding. It is feather light for a mtn bike tire and makes a great cross country tire for almost any terrain.

A GuestJust like the little brother 26" version. Fast, has grip and lightweight. Its becoming the choice for most XC and Super D racers along with joe blow trail rider. I recommend as a good summer tire because does very well on hard pack and dry. Also good for commuting on the street and bike trails.

siljenbergIts a great rear tire. My only gripe is how thin the side walls are. I bought a duplicate tire as a JIC (just in case) tire. I slid off of a rock and it almost slit my sidewall. I am still rocking the tire, but I have a feeling its life has been shorten by the Slittin Rocky Mountains.
Give it (and peace) a chance.
Cheers!
