Dura Ace / XTR 7701 9spd Chain
This is the chain of choice for pros everywhere, both on or off road. The
Shimano Dura-Ace / XTR 7701 9-Speed Chain is narrowed over the 6/7/8 speed chains of the past allowing more gears to pack into the cassette and making the shifts smoother and crisper. On top of that, the shift oriented inner tapering grabs the ramps and pins of your chainrings to move into the next gear faster, under more load, and with less effort.
- Specifically designed for 9-speed Shimano drivetrains
- Chain tool required for connecting chain
- 116 links
- 6.6 mm width
Weighs just 304 grams.

A GuestI bought this chain for my Gary Fisher Hi-Fi 29er (2009) when purchase my bike. I have 689 miles on the chain now and the chain tool is at .75, time to replace. I never had any problem with this chain. During that same time the two people I ride with have had their chains break six times between them. One of them just switch his chain on his Trek EX8 to the 7701. The type of area we ride is alot of sandstone rock, up and down, tight turns and 1 to 2 foot drops. I know we put alot of pressure on the chains thoughout the ride.

kaf01I was hesitant with purchasing this chain after reading some negative reviews. Knowing some people have had troubles with the chain breaking I made sure to install the chain correctly and haven't had any problems. The chain is light, shifts great, and not real expensive compared to other manufacturers.

A GuestI bougth it for my Giant Anthem Advanced...
I like to ride frequently and I can't visit the store all the time... besides, I want to protect my Sram X0 drivetrain from wear. if you want both sides, the chain is the most important part. Its my second chain in two years... no rust, no stuck, always ready for the next ride
