Shimano
PD-M324 Clipless/Platform Pedals
We often have customers stop by the shop looking for a pedal that they can ride around town on without having to buckle up in their clipless shoes. The PD-M324 is our go-to suggestion since it offers a great platform and the same tried and true adjustable SPD system as Shimano's other pedals. Easy adjust release tension makes this a great starter pedal for any new cyclist. Constructed with chromoly spindle and a forged body. Features SPD clip on one side, and a standard cage on the other.
- Strong ChroMoly axle
- Forged aluminum body
- Cup and cone bearing system
- Includes SH-56 cleats
- 4 degrees of float

Can you instal power grips on the standard cage side?

Absolutely, YES! These were attached to the captain's M324 pedals on our tandem during our trip down the Pacific coast from Canada to Mexico in 2009 (see our journal and bike with the straps at http://www.crazyguyonabike.com/). The Power Grips lasted about 3500 miles before "bonking." I am now using the clipless side of the M324's without the PG's. The Power Grips were great, but am feeling more comfortable with the clipless on our tandem now. BTW, two thumbs up on M324 pedals!

Though we've never tried, it would certainly appear so.

A GuestI like these because I can use my shoes if I'm going on longer rides where I need some extra power and I can jump on the same bike in my street shoes and go for a quick ride to the store.
I've been riding these for a year and a half and they have yet to develop play or have anything go wrong with them.
The clip in side works great, it's usually facing up which makes it really easy to clip in. These are great pedals if you want to make your bike a little more versatile. I find myself riding a lot more now that I don't have to change into my cycling shoes every time I ride.

mus...@gm...l.comI bought a pair of these pedals when I was first making the transition to clip-in pedals. I bought these because they were inexpensive and had a platform on one side. I now have them on all 5 of my bikes.

A GuestI commute on a cyclocross bike that I also use for long recreational rides. These pedals are perfect because I never have to switch them out. Work shoes, flip flops, bike shoes, whatever. Clips work great, platforms work great. Wish they were lighter, but I guess I would have paid twice as much for them if they were.

A GuestI put these on my single speed 29er so I can ride around the city while wearing my vans, then take her to the trail and wear my clips without swapping pedals. Works like a charm. It's truly like having two sets of pedals on the bike. I love them! Buy them u won't be dissapointed.

A GuestAwesome. For the price you cannot beat the function. I swap them with my Frogs depending on the distance and shoe I am wearing but I love these pedals for day to day use.

saddlesoreThe clip in and platform options are excellent. Absolutely no problems getting locked in or releasing.
